My name is Liz, and I am American. I was born and raised in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and now live in North Carolina! I am an English teacher by day and amateur chef by night.
Hey! It’s me, Liz. #foodbloggerface
In October 2014, I married my husband who is from India, and thus began my journey of discovering the joys and pains of Indian cooking. And let me tell you, there are many pains in learning a new cuisine/language/culture. But of course, it is mostly exciting and thrilling to have so much purpose when experiencing something new. My hope is that this blog can account for my own culinary journeys and, through those culinary snippets, document my ongoing discoveries in language, culture, family, and happiness.
Very cool blog! It seems that we have similar stories; I am American (from NY) and my husband is from Punjab and we were married in October 2014 too 🙂

Thanks so much! We have very similar stories! Even the same anniversary month. That’s too crazy! We were married on the 20th of October. My husband’s family is from Agra but he grew up in New Delhi.
